Munay-Ki – The Journey of Transformation

I received the 9 Munay-Ki Rites in June 2007 just before I met Christer. I'm not saying they were responsible bringing us together, but it has been a grand journey of transformation since I first received them. August that year I “graduated” from initiate/assistant to teacher/facilitator. In October 2007, I learned how to teach and give the Munay-Ki Rites. My intention was to use only some of the Rites and to continue teaching the Andean Tradition as it was taught to me.

It seems that Spirit had something else in mind for me or perhaps it was the Rites themselves that were growing their seeds in me, prodding me to spread them. The Inka prophecies speak about a new human appearing on the planet – one who lives free of fear and resides in his or her transcendent nature. The Munay-Ki are the codes for the new human. They are delivered in the form of energetic transmissions. They have a power and force that is far beyond what I first imagined.

    


These Rites are given as the next step in the evolution of humanity; to realign and attune our neuro-pathways and truly shift human consciousness. In 2006 the Q'ero elders of the high mountains felt it was time that these Rites be transmitted to as many as possible. Once people have received all nine Rites, it is asked that they pass them on to others. According to the prophecy, we will then witness the birth of a new form of human on the planet and the dawn of a new era.

Soon after I learned how to teach and give the Munay-Ki, I started receiving invitations to teach them. In 2008 I taught them in conjunction with the four elements in Argentina, Sweden, Denmark, Holland and Peru.

A few weeks ago a group of 19 “graduates” from those workshops came to Paz y Luz for a “Deepening the Munay-Ki” course. Even as they arrived from Argentina, Europe and the USA, I could see in them the changes from when I had given them the Rites. Here we deepened the Rites by working with Q'ero shamans in four sacred initiation sites unknown to most tourists. As we shared around the circle at the end of each day, the stories of personal transformation continued to unfold. Each day stronger than the day before. Everyone left feeling truly changed and empowered to continue the work of the Munay-Ki - the evolution of themselves and humanity.

    
   
 

August 1 st a new group arrived for the Full Circle Initiation. During our eight days together 26 of us (ages 20 to 65) worked with the four elements: Earth, Water, Air and Fire. We received the Munay-Ki initiations every day and learned how to share them with others. The first day with each element, we were based at Paz y Luz. The second day with each element we went to the same initiation sites as the “Deepening” group. There Francisco, Juanita, and their son Eduardo gave us the Rite in its traditional form to integrate with the energy of the place.

Francisco, Juanita and Eduardo, generously sharing their energy and traditions, were so wonderful to work with. They were a model of ease, patience, peace and joy. Their spirituality is completely integrated with their life and work. We communicate beyond language, with hugs and laughter and passion for the Rites.

Christer and I felt so privileged to witness and support the blossoming of each participant as the elements and the energy of the Rites brought them healing and transformation, deeper and more profound with each day. Each group became like a family, filled with love, laughter and tears. In the past I have felt drained at the end of such a long workshop but with Christer by my side, two weeks of working with these Rites and the wonderful people who came to learn and deepen them, has left me feeling strong and clear. This is my work, this is my passion: the journey of transformation.
