WELCOME TO
2012: The Year We’ve Been Waiting For
Hard
to believe it is 2012! When I moved to Peru in 2000, the Inka prophecies about 2012
seemed a bit far in the distance. Now the time has arrived. We are inside the grand
changes predicted more than 500 years ago. The prophecies are not so much about
a specific day in a specific year but about a time. And the time is now. The
change we have been waiting for is upon us.
I
watched on the internet, as the Occupy movement spread from Wall St. around the
world. It seems to me that people are waking up to recognize their interests are
not being served by the people in power – politically, economically and
environmentally. Now is a time for us to look at who we are and what we want
this world to be. We are the ones who can dream it into being.
Christer’s
passing and the changes it brought in my life last year, taught me how
important it is that we live fully in the present and respond to life as it is
unfolding. The security that we seek lies inside our hearts, ready to adapt to
whatever circumstances we may find ourselves in.
Many
plans for 2012 are already in place for me and my work but I make them with
full knowledge that anything can happen within or beyond them. At the end of
January I will go to Florida to visit my parents for two weeks. On the way
back, I will teach a Munay-Ki workshop in Queretaro near Mexico City.
I come
back to Pisac for 12 days to start a new construction project in late February
before traveling to Asia. We will build three 2-bedroom bungalows in one of my
vacant lots which should be done by July or August if you want to come for an
extended stay!
March 7th
I will fly to San Francisco to stay some days with my friend Jean before going
to Hong Kong for a week, where I will teach the Munay-Ki. From there, I fly to
Thailand (Chaing Rai) for two
weeks of work and fun. April 4 I fly to
Kuala Lumpur for a week where I will teach and offer some private healing
sessions. It will be my first visit to Thailand and Malaysia so I look forward
to exploring the sites as well as working a little.
I will
lead two groups at Paz y Luz in April and May for the “Deepening the Munay-Ki”
course - one in English and one in Spanish. The first weekend in June, I will teach
the Munay-Ki in Budapest, Hungary (another new country for me). From there I
will fly to Sweden to spend some time with Christer's family in Stockholm and
teach a course with my friend Britt in western Sweden near Norway. I will fly
home via Atlanta where my nephew Josh is getting married and I will officiate!
Back at
Paz y Luz for July and August, we have more groups and workshops before I head
north again for my father’s 90th birthday party in New York on Sept 1st.
A week later I will gather with old friends to celebrate my 60th on Sept 8th.
My new
book is finished and currently in production. It should be available on line by
mid February. So who knows what new and exciting connections that may bring. We shall see what this year has in store for us. Paz
y Luz will hold a special Gathering for the auspicious December Solstice,
December 20, 21 and 22. If you feel called to come, we look forward to having
you.
May
this year be full of wonder and delight for us all, as we stay perched on our
toes ready to bob and weave with any shifts and shakes that present themselves.
