10 days Cusco, the Sacred Valley,
Inka Trail to Machu Picchu

(NOTE: It is best if the arrival day is a Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday)

Day 1 - Arrive in Cusco and come to Pisac in the Sacred Valley to relax and acclimate. There will also be time to shop in the Pisac Indian artisan market. Sleep at Paz y Luz.

Day 2- Explore the Inka ruins in Pisac and then drive through the Valley to have a wonderful gourmet lunch in Urubamba. Afterwards we will visit the fascinating circular ruins of Moray, surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains. Dinner in Pisac, sleep at Paz y Luz.

Day 3 - As we drive to Cusco, we will explore the ancient temples above the city: Tambo Machay, Q'enko, Temple of the Moon, and Sacsaywaman. After the tour and lunch there will be time to wander around Cusco, visit churches and museums if you'd like, shop for crafts, etc. Sleep in Cusco at Amaru Hostal in San Blas.

Day 4 - Free day in Cusco to do as you please. Sleep in Cusco (Amaru Hostal in San Blas). 6pm meeting at your hotel - RE: Your Inka Trail hike.

Day 5 - Begin Inka Trail - Day 1 (tent)

Day 6 - Inka Trail - Day 2 - Dead Women's Pass (tent)

Day 7 - Inka Trail - Day 3 (hostal/tent)

Day 8 - Arrive in Machu Picchu at sunrise - 2 hour guided tour of the ruins, with several hours to wander on your own before taking the 4:20pm train to Ollantaytambo. Sleep at Hotel Pakaritampu with breakfast buffet in the morning.

Day 9 - Have a relaxing morning, tour the ruins of Ollantaytambo and in the afternoon, drive to Cusco where you will spend the evening. Sleep at Hostal Amaru in San Blas.

Day 10 - Fly to Lima.

COST PER PERSON: US $1,730 per person (double occupancy)

Includes breakfast, meals on the Inka Trail, hotels, local transportation, entry to all sights, 4-day Inka Trail hike, train from Machu Picchu and guide services.
It does not include airfare, drinks, other meals or tips. Note: All breakfasts are continental.

Diane Dunn, your tour coordinator, is an initiate in the Andean (Inka) spiritual tradition as well as an ordained minister from NYC. She is trained in Andean energy healing, Reiki and other alternative healing practices. Former outreach pastor in Johannesburg, South Africa, she developed a healing ministry with homeless and unemployed people in the inner city. Her weekly healing workshops utilized creative arts and visualization. Diane moved to Cusco, Peru in June 2000. She has written a book called "CUSCO: The Gateway to Inner Wisdom " that describes the magic one is able to access through the power of the Andean tradition and the wonderful masters with whom she has been studying.
